Ashley Burkett is an independent pianist and vocalist, recently arriving in the OC/LA area. She earned both a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in classical voice from University of Louisiana at Monroe while honing her vocal and acting skills. Her training and professional singing experience have enabled Ashley to work on stage, concert, film soundtracks, studio, and casual acts. Some of her featured roles include Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Rose (Street Scene). Lola (Gallantry), Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief), Principle (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), Principle (Starting Here, Starting Now), Philia (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Grace (Annie Warbucks), Mrs. Baskin (BIG: The Musical), and Alice (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers). In 2006, she studied and performed with opera festival di Roma in Rome, Italy for the productions of Die lustige Witwe and Suor Angelica. Ashley has toured throughout the US, Europe with a variety of musical acts ranging from opera, musical theatre, and vocal ensembles. Most recently, Ashley's projects include featured vocalist for the full length motion picture Crush(ed) 2009 (Maverick Entertainment), featured vocalist for the web series Partners in Pretension scheduled 2001, and ensemble work for the feature film The Black Tulip 2010 (Breadwinner Productions/Warner Bros. Motion Pictures). The Black Tulip is Afghanistan's official entry for Best Foreign Film at the 83rd Academy Awards. Although piano is Ashley's second instrument, she began playing in 2nd grade and has maintained her skills throughout her career enabling her to instruct both voice and piano.

GARY (GAREGIN) KHACHIKYAN graduated from the Music School in 1970 in Yerevan, Armenia. He received BA in Piano Performance from Yerevan Music Pedagogical College in 1974. In 1973 as a student with exceptional ability in piano performance, he had the honor to play "Concert for piano and orchestra" by the world-famous composer Aram Khachaturian at composer's 70th anniversary jubilee performance. Gary Khachikyan brilliantly performed this musical composition full of very complicated piano techniques and was recognized widely by the audience and personally by Aram Khachaturian.

In 1974, Gary Khachikyan entered Yerevan State Conservatory and in 1979 he graduated with Honorous Diploma and Master of Arts Degree in Music, Soloist of Chamber orchestra, Piano teacher and Accompanist. During his study at the Conservatory, Gary was awarded international prize for the best piano performance at the International Competition of Musician-Performers in Tbilisi, Georgian Republic. As a pianist, he performed a lot with symphonic orchestras, soloists, choirs in Europe.

Gary's professional career is very successful no matter where he lives; either it is Saint Petersburg (Russia, 1992-1997), Oslo (Norway, 1997-2001), or New York (USA, 2009-2015). His participation in TV performance, record recordings, or feature movies brought him wide recognition in different audiences.

Gary Khachikyan is a member of Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC) since 2003. He teaches piano music to youthful gifted students participating in programs of certification and music competitions. Besides young students, Gary teaches adults and has ability to work and schedule around their lives while still developing and effective curriculum that fits their busy life style.

Gary popularizes Russian Classical methods of teaching piano and the best traditions of great Russian piano performance school. He also incorporates pop, rock, and top music into students’ curriculum and he is current with new music trends

Helen Blezkjian started studying piano and voice for a career in opera starting at the age of eight years old. Her many teachers include Mel, Tully of Redondo Beach, Seth Riggs and James Lowe of Los Angeles, and Curtis Stearns, Mozart Coach. Helen was awarded scholarship of Los Angeles City Music at age fifteen and received her B.A. Liberal Arts from Bethany University majoring in Voice. She is the founder, general manager, performer for non-profit organization Opera By The Sea. Helen has also performed with the Downey Civic Light Opera, Long Beach Civic Light Opera, South Bay Civic Light Opera, Del Rey Civic Light Opera, Pacific Opera Theatre, Starlight Opera Theatre, San Diego Opera, Lindy Opera Company and Kansas City Opera.

Julie Assaf began her career in music at the age of 15, where she entered her first Composition Competition (National PTA Reflections Program) and won California State Finalist. In 2011, she graduated from California Institute of the Arts, the world renowned college recently recognized as the #1 Arts and Music school in America, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Composition. CalArts provided an intensive study with strong emphasis on theory and musicianship skills. She studied with prominent musicians and composers in the field of music, such as Robert Wannamaker, Michael Fink, and Barry Schrader. She studied cello composition with Erika Duke-Kirpatrick, and piano composition with Vicki Ray. She has worked with many independent artists, animators, actors, dancers, musicians, and has performed in countless ensembles at the Roy O. Disney Music Hall, Wild Beast Concert Hall, and many other private and public functions. With almost 20 years of experience on the piano, Julie has enormous flexibility with technique and repertoire on the instrument, as well as the capability to transcribe almost any music to written notation. Vocal training soon followed her study in piano. She has studied many different vocal styles at Calarts, including Javanese Chant and Indian Sargam. In July 2009, she went to study at the National University of Galway in Ireland. There, she performed and improvised ragtime music at the Galway City Museum during the Annual Galway Arts Festival and studied the tin whistle, spoken song, and Sean Nós techniques.

Julie's approach to teaching is always with energy and fun, along with close attention to the individual's learning abilities. She has had experience teaching and tutoring since the age of 14, and continues her work in pedagogy with passion and excitement. She is available to teach piano, voice, cello, ear training, music theory, and composition/songwriting to children and adults of all ages. She is also available for hire as a ragtime pianist, or medieval hurdy-gurdist for solos or ensembles.
